Road Trip!!

I set off for my LONG drive to Boulder on Thursday. Woohoo! Went down to Jamie's house in Jersey and had some yummy thai food, and then went to bed super early cause I had to pick up Eric at the airport at 7am...yep...7am!!! Who's great idea was that? ;-) Oh. Mine. haha. We pretty much went back to bed as soon as we got back to Jamie's and then woke up later and went to lunch/breakfast before heading into the city...

Eric's first subway ride!

We went up to the top of Rockefeller Center. This is a view of Central Park.

And a view of St. Patrick's Cathedral.

More views

Empire State Building

Then we went to Washington Square Park in Greenwich Village to eat some yummy NY Pizza

And then we went drinking...

And falafel eating...

Met up with some UMass friends

Nice one Gunner!

Next day... in Grand Central

At the WuTang / Rage Against the Machine festival...

After our fun in NYC we headed south to West Virginia. This picture is an attempt to take a picture of a sign for Seton HILL university. You can see the "Hill" on the left.

We stopped at Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater House. It was pretty amazing. But we weren't allowed to take pictures of the inside. Boo.

Carports anyone?

Then we headed to Morgantown, WV.

Here we discovered Morgantown's amazing "waterfront"

As well as their campus buildings that look like haunted houses.

We stayed in this pretty kickass hotel in Morgantown that was cheap and really nice, but laid back. It was worth the stop in Mo'town anyways. Now we are Lexington, KY where my friend Lacy is doing her vet internship. It is pretty fun to hang out with Boulder friends in a random Southern state.

So far a pretty good trip. Next up, more Kentucky and Missouri!

Brew Fest! ... and Harry Potter

Went to a BrewFest with my family this past weekend. Great fun. I mean who doesn't love lots of samples of yummy beer? Here's a few pics.

After the brewfest I went to Borders to get the last Harry Potter book at midnight. Yeah, I may be lame, but I wasn't the only one. There were over 500 people there! It was worth it. :-P

Big family weekend

This past weekend my family had a memorial or "celebration of life" or an "Irish wake" for my uncle who passed away in April. Lots of family and friends came from out of town and it was a good time. Friday we had a little gathering at my aunt Annie's house...

The food and wine. Yum!

Chillin by the pool.

Saturday we went out to a fancy dinner. This is my sister and her fiance.

My cousins Mack and Conall

Conall was making money by giving everyone $1 massages.

Mack was making money by scamming everyone at Tic Tac Toe. He asked my dad to play with him, then when he won, he made my dad pay him $1.

Overall a great weekend with the family. Only one more weekend before I leave for my cross-country drive to Boulder. Eric is flying out here and driving with me, so I'm sure I'll have lots of fun pictures from that as well!
